Heartburn is a flaming sensation in your chest going to your throat. This usually happens at least 30 minutes after eating. Sometimes, it even goes up to an hour after meal before you could feel the uncomfortable pain in your chest. Unfortunately, the pain that one could feel is excruciating. However, do not interpret heartburn as a disease in itself. Heartburn is a symptom of a disease named Gastroesophageal reflux disease. When not addressed properly, it could lead to a serious illness.
Most people have had heartburn sometime in their life. You probably have experienced some of the symptoms too: acidic taste in your mouth or the burning sensation in your chest.
Many people are misinformed that heartburn actually involves a problem with the heart. That is not so.
Do have frequent pain under your sternum? A constant acid taste in your throat? Problems swallowing?
Even trouble sleeping and some weight gain? You have heard that everyone has a little bit of heartburn, but nothing like this.
Most of the causes of heartburn are related to things that you consume. By knowing the factors that stimulate or trigger this problem is a good idea. That way you can try to eliminate them or make some simple changes in your lifestyle.
